Free Spine Surgery on 30 Children

30 children with spine conditions were operated by Dr. Mazda free of charge. Zanjireh Omid international charity institute is hosting children with severe spine conditions from all over the country these days. 
The medical team including French and Iranian volunteer surgeons and a neurologist (Dr. Tarif Masrizada) performed complex spine operations headed by prof. Mazda.
25 out of 70 examined children underwent surgery with consideration to their risk tolerance and surgery success chance.
Founded in 2007, Zanjireh Omid has offered medical services to over 10600 children with orthopedic, cardiac and reconstructive problems so far, aiming to promote pediatric subspecialties in Iran.
Reduction in mortality rate among neonates after cardiac surgeries is one of the main achievements of the institute. 
Patients' treatment process is carried out through cooperation among volunteer Iranian and foreign doctors, university healthcare centers, legal and natural donors of the institute.

Following patients' referral to Zanjireh Omid by organizations, legal and natural individuals, assessments are made about welfare of children. Afterwards, the institute social workers create a medical record for child patients and they can receive free medical services thereafter.
Zanjireh Omid has accomplished five achievements in pediatric medicine for the first time in the history of the country.
