State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic visits Zanjireh Omid International Charity

According to the public relations of Zanjireh Omid International Charity, on the morning of Tuesday, May 17, the Honorable State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Mrs. Ingrid Brockova, the Honorable Slovak Ambassador of Iran, Mr. Ladislav Balek, and the accompanying delegation visited Zanjireh Omid International Charity to donate money for the treatment of Afghan refugee children in Iran.
Maryam Marashi, Managing Director and Founder of Zanjireh Omid International Charity, while welcoming and appreciating the actions of the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Iran, expressed her gratitude for the support of the Government of the Slovak Republic and provided a comprehensive explanation on the formation and process of the institute activities.
During the meeting, guests watched a video of Zanjireh Omid performances since its foundation, as well as another short film by Afghan child Gholam Abbas, who was shot and treated by Zanjireh Omid during the civil war in Afghanistan.
After the short films, the Honorable State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Mrs. Ingrid Brockova stated that: "I welcome the continuation of cooperation and the start of further activities with this charity to address the challenge of refugee and Afghan children,"
She also suggested: Specialist doctors in Slovakia and Iran can interact and communicate effectively to improve the level of pediatric medical knowledge.
Engineer Amir Saki, Director General of the Office of Physical Development Resources and Civil Affairs of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, explained and described the project of Zanjireh Omid subspecialized Hospital and the purpose of building this hospital.
Dr. Ramin Hajzargarbashi, the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship, a volunteer physician in Zanjireh Omid, explained the surgery of the children referred to the charity, as well as the problems that arose after the effect of sanctions on medical equipment and the postponement of treatment.
Gholam Abbas, an Afghan child who was shot by ISIS, attended in this meeting.
Gholam Abbas explained about the bad situation he had before going to Zanjireh Omid and said: When I went to the charity, I had a bullet in my leg and I was in severe pain and could not walk. But after the surgery and after the treatment, I am very well now, I can run and play football with my friends, and I thanks Zanjireh Omid for that.
At the end, the guests visited the children's house of Zanjireh Omid and the medical and rehabilitation Sections of this institute. The sick children of the residence also presented a wreath of flowers to the presence of Mrs. Ingrid Brockova, and she also presented dolls to the children hospitalized in the residence.
It should be noted that Zanjireh Omid International Charity provides medical services to children under the age of 18, regardless of religion, race, nationality, and in accordance with international standards in the fields of heart, orthopedics and reconstructive, and has so far operated on more than 14,450 children from all over the country. It specializes in treatment and, in accordance with the principle of a Universal Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted in 1959, treats children to eliminate discrimination at birth and accepts refugee children with a card, without a card and without anonymity only on condition of deprivation in the above fields.
